We machined this from a solid block of steel. This is a non-porous wheel with a very high tensile strength, impact-resistant, and impervious to chemicals. The temperature range on this wheel is -40F up to 2,500F. The wheel is durable, but you must follow the weight capacity guidelines of our swivel caster bracket (450 lbs), which holds this wheel.
