Selection and compatibility guidance

How threaded stem mounting works

Threaded stems install into tapped plates, inserts, or compatible equipment legs and are typically secured with a nut for positive retention. Stem length and thread engagement must be verified to ensure adequate holding strength.

Installing into wood (tee nut option)

If you are adding threaded stems to wood legs or panels, use a properly sized tee nut or insert to provide metal threads and prevent pull-out. For 3/8" tee nuts: Shop 3/8" tee nuts.

Wheel material options
  • TPR / TPE: Quiet rolling and floor protection; better over small debris and cords
  • Polyurethane: Higher load capacity; improved durability and reduced flat-spotting
  • Rubber: Cushioned ride and good traction; verify capacity and rolling resistance
Typical construction features (model dependent)
  • Ball-bearing swivel raceway for smooth rotation
  • Zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance
  • Axle hardware varies by model (rivet, nut/bolt, or staked)
  • NSF-certified models available where required
Common applications
  • Wire shelving and utility racks
  • Institutional and food service carts
  • Retail displays and light fixtures
  • Office and light-duty equipment stands
What to confirm before ordering
  • Thread size (commonly 3/8"-16, but verify)
  • Stem length and required thread engagement
  • Overall height constraints
  • Wheel material for floor type and environment
  • Brake requirement (if equipment must stay fixed)
