All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

Caster Mounting Washers: buying guide

Caster mounting washers — flat washers, split lock washers, fender washers, and tooth lock washers in standard caster bolt sizes (3/8, 1/2 inch). Required for proper caster installation to prevent the bolt from pulling through equipment material and to lock the bolt against vibration loosening. Bulk packs available. About Caster Washers

Washers distribute load and prevent bolt loosening. Every caster mount needs both flat washers (load distribution) and lock washers (anti-vibration). Skipping washers = caster falls off.

How to Choose

1. Match Bolt Diameter

3/8 inch washers for 3/8-16 bolts. 1/2 inch washers for 1/2-13 bolts.

2. Flat + Lock Standard

Use both: flat washer (distributes load) and lock washer (prevents loosening).

3. Material

Zinc-plated indoor. Stainless for outdoor/wet.

4. Quantity

2 washers per bolt (1 flat + 1 lock). 8 washers per caster (4 bolts).
