All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Match the mover to three things: total sheet weight, sheet height, and the tightest doorway on the route.
If the route crosses expansion joints or door thresholds, spec the 8" quiet poly casters. Under a 2,000 lb sheet load a 5" wheel drops into a 3/8" gap and stops dead; an 8" wheel bridges it and keeps rolling. Order brakes on at least two casters if the mover will be loaded or staged on any slope.
Roughly 30 sheets of 5/8" Type X on a 2,400 lb standard mover, using USG's figure of about 70 lb per 4x8 sheet. Half-inch lightweight board runs lighter, so count goes up. Keep the stack centered and strap anything taller than the uprights.
A design where the uprights angle the load so sheet goods lean into the frame instead of standing dead vertical. That is why waterfall models are the pick for glass, stone, and finished panels. Raymond's 5000-series waterfall movers are rated to 3,200 lb with adjustable uprights.
Phenolic for unfinished concrete and back-of-house routes, it is the economical option. Quiet polyurethane is non-marking and much quieter, the right choice for occupied offices, schools, hospitals, and finished floors. Both are available fixed, swivel, or with brakes on most models.
The HD Narrow series is built specifically for elevators and standard doorways. Standard-width movers clear double doors comfortably. Exact base dimensions are listed on every product page, measure your tightest opening first.
Yes. Genuine OEM 5" and 6" phenolic and 8" quiet poly replacement casters are stocked in our Raymond replacement parts collection, and they bolt to the same mounting pattern as the factory set.

Raymond panel and sheet movers carry drywall, plywood, doors, glass, and cubicle partitions on edge, so one worker moves loads that used to take two or three. Standard 3800-series movers are rated 1,800-2,400 lb; heavy-duty cross-brace, waterfall, and vertical panel trucks reach 3,200 lb. All are made in USA since 1958 with a lifetime warranty.
