If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service regarding personal information, this Privacy Policy controls for privacy-related matters.

2. Notice at Collection

We collect the categories of personal information described in this Privacy Policy for business and commercial purposes, including order processing, customer support, quote handling, account management, fraud prevention, website operation, analytics, advertising measurement, shipping, payment processing, tax compliance, legal compliance, warranty support, dispute resolution, and general business operations.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

3. Personal Information We Collect

“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a specific person, household, browser, device, or online identifier. • Account information: Customer account login information, password credentials, saved preferences, order history, and account settings.
  • Internet, device, and network activity: Browser type, operating system, IP address, device type, referring URLs, pages viewed, clicks, cart activity, session behavior, cookies, pixels, tags, and analytics identifiers.
  • Approximate location information: Approximate location inferred from IP address, shipping destination, billing region, tax region, or delivery location.
  • Communications: Emails, contact forms, chat messages, support tickets, quote requests, phone communications, survey responses, and other messages you send to us.
  • Marketing and preference information: Email preferences, SMS preferences, cookie preferences, product interests, ad interactions, abandoned cart activity, and communication settings.
  • Inferences: Preferences, likely product interests, purchasing behavior, customer segment, engagement level, or similar information derived from other data.
  • Sensitive personal information: Account login credentials, payment-related information, and other limited information that may be considered sensitive under applicable law.

We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, biometric data, health data, racial or ethnic origin, union membership, genetic data, or similar sensitive categories for ordinary ecommerce transactions.

4. Sources of Personal Information

We may collect personal information from you directly, your device and browser, Shopify and ecommerce service providers, payment processors, fraud prevention providers, shipping and logistics partners, advertising and analytics partners, business customers or organizations, and public or commercially available sources where permitted by law.

5. How We Use Personal Information

A. Provide, Operate, and Improve the Services

We use personal information to process, confirm, fulfill, ship, and manage orders; provide customer accounts, order history, quotes, invoices, and support; process payments, refunds, exchanges, returns, credits, and chargebacks; maintain website functionality; and improve site performance, product selection, user experience, and customer support.

B. Customer Service and Business Communications

We use personal information to respond to inquiries, support requests, RFQs, account questions, and order questions, and to send transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping notices, delivery updates, return updates, account notices, and service alerts.

C. Marketing, Advertising, Analytics, and Personalization

We may use personal information to send marketing communications where permitted, measure advertising performance, analyze website engagement, personalize product recommendations, and deliver or improve interest-based advertising, retargeting, cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising where permitted and subject to your privacy choices.

D. Security, Fraud Prevention, and Legal Compliance

We use personal information to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, unauthorized transactions, malicious activity, security incidents, abuse, and policy violations; maintain payment and account security; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms of Service, agreements, policies, and legal rights.

6. Cookies, Pixels, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We and our partners, including Shopify, may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, session identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, secure checkout, analyze performance, personalize content, measure advertising, and deliver or improve ads.

You may manage cookie and data-sharing preferences through our cookie banner, cookie preferences link where available, browser settings, or our Your Privacy Choices page. Blocking certain technologies may affect site functionality, checkout, analytics accuracy, personalization, advertising relevance, and preference retention.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to Shopify, payment processors, fraud tools, customer support tools, email providers, IT providers, analytics providers, shipping and fulfillment partners, advertising and analytics partners, professional advisors, government or legal recipients, and business transaction parties where permitted or required by law.

8. Sale, Sharing, Targeted Advertising, and Your Privacy Choices

We do not sell personal information for money. However, certain advertising, analytics, attribution, retargeting, cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising activities may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under California and other U.S. state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.

Where applicable, you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or certain profiling by using our Your Privacy Choices page or by contacting us at info@casterhq.com.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

9. Opt-Out Preference Signals and Global Privacy Control

Where required by applicable law, we treat legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal.

Because opt-out preference signals are typically browser- or device-specific, you may need to enable the signal separately on each browser or device you use.

10. Shopify Relationship

Our Services are powered by Shopify. Shopify provides ecommerce infrastructure, checkout, hosting, payment-related functionality, analytics, customer account tools, security, privacy controls, fraud prevention, and related services.

Shopify may process personal information as our service provider or processor for certain activities, and may act as an independent controller or business for other activities as described in Shopify’s own privacy documentation, service terms, and privacy portal.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, obtain a portable copy of personal information, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, withdraw consent, appeal a denied request, and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

You may submit a privacy request by contacting us at info@casterhq.com or by using our Your Privacy Choices page for applicable opt-out requests.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We will respond to verifiable consumer privacy requests within the time required by applicable law. If we deny your request, we will explain the reason where required and provide appeal instructions if applicable.

12. California Privacy Notice

This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy and applies to California residents where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies.

In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected and disclosed the categories of personal information described above for the business and commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, certain advertising, analytics, retargeting, and cross-context behavioral advertising activities may be considered “selling” or “sharing” personal information under California law. California residents may opt out through our Your Privacy Choices page or by using a legally recognized opt-out preference signal where required and technically supported.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under California law unless otherwise disclosed or permitted by law.

13. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights similar to or different from California rights. Where required by applicable law, we will honor privacy requests from residents of applicable states. You may submit requests by contacting info@casterhq.com or by using our Your Privacy Choices page for applicable opt-out requests.

14. De-Identified and Aggregated Information

We may create or use de-identified, aggregated, or anonymized information for analytics, reporting, business planning, product improvement, fraud prevention, and similar purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by law.

15. Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send transactional or service-related messages, including order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices, safety notices, legal notices, quote communications, and customer service communications.

16. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, protect security, and protect our legal rights. After retention requirements expire, information may be deleted, de-identified, aggregated, or otherwise handled as permitted by law.

17. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no website, platform, transmission, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

18. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for business and general ecommerce users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law.

19. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may include links to third-party websites, apps, platforms, payment methods, financing tools, shipping tools, social media pages, review platforms, or other services that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third parties.

20. Business Customers and Company Contacts

If you interact with us on behalf of a company, organization, government agency, school, contractor, manufacturer, distributor, or other entity, we may collect and use your business contact information to communicate with you, process orders, support quotes, manage accounts, verify authority, provide customer service, and maintain business records.

21. International Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed, transferred, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where we, Shopify, or our service providers operate.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, service providers, Shopify settings, advertising tools, or business operations. The “Last Updated” date above indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
