All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Washdown casters serve sanitary environments where equipment is cleaned with water, chemicals, or high-pressure spray: food and beverage plants, pharmaceutical and cleanroom areas, and medical processing. The spec is corrosion resistance and cleanability first: stainless rigs, sealed or stainless bearings, and smooth non-marking tread with no crevices to harbor contamination. CasterHQ stocks a deep stainless caster range with sealed bearings and multiple tread options, all in stock and priced for same-day shipping from Texas.

Cleanability is about crevices, not just material. A stainless caster with an unsealed bearing still traps water and biofilm in the raceway where you cannot clean it. We spec sealed bearings and smooth, gap-free rigs so there is nowhere for contamination to hide, which is what a sanitation auditor is actually looking for.

Our team specs sanitation & washdown casters by load per caster, floor and environment, mount, and any compliance the application demands, then confirms fit before you order. We stock the range for same-day shipping from Mansfield, Texas, so replacements do not stall your equipment.
Washdown casters use stainless rigs, sealed or stainless bearings, and smooth non-marking tread with minimal crevices, so they resist corrosion and can be cleaned without harboring contamination.
Zinc plating slows corrosion but fails under repeated washdown and sanitizer exposure. Stainless resists the chemistry and moisture long term, which is why sanitary environments specify it.
Yes. Sealed bearings keep water and chemicals out of the raceway, the most common corrosion and failure point, and remove a crevice that can harbor contamination.
Stainless ranges cover light-duty under 500 lb through heavy SSU casters to 6,000 lb per caster, so sanitary carts and heavy equipment can both stay corrosion-resistant.
Stainless, sealed, non-marking casters with low particle generation suit cleanroom and pharmaceutical areas. Confirm any specific particle or material requirements for your classification.
Yes. We carry over 900 stainless caster configurations with multiple tread and bearing options, in stock for same-day shipping.
