Kingpinless casters eliminate the central swivel pin — the loudest mechanical component on a standard caster. Combined with thermo rubber treads that absorb vibration, these are the quietest production industrial casters available. Medical and library specified.
6" rolls over standard floor seams, vinyl reducers, and 1/2" thresholds. 8" handles deeper seams and uneven hospital corridor transitions. The larger 8" also reduces rolling effort and tread wear in high-traffic service.
Foot brake recommended on any cart that stops near patients, in libraries, or on sloped corridors. Plain swivel works on level floors with cart-mounted hand brakes. Specify 2 swivel + 2 rigid for stable straight-line rolling.

Yes — the thermo rubber tread on these casters is explicitly non-marking. Safe for hospital vinyl, library hardwood, polished concrete, and finished tile. Will not leave black streaks or scuff marks under normal use.

Yes if the cart has a 4" x 4-1/2" top plate (the standard for medium-duty industrial). Match the existing bolt pattern and overall height to avoid changing cart deck height. We stock 6" and 8" silent casters with 4" x 4-1/2" plates as the default.
