Heat Casters & High Temperature Wheels
HEAT-RATED • WHEELS + COMPLETE CASTERS • INDUSTRIAL + FOOD SERVICE

Heat casters are engineered for elevated temperature environments where standard wheels fail from thermal softening, flat-spotting, or bearing breakdown. This collection includes complete casters and matching replacement wheels across common high-temp wheel materials.

Temperature & Material Selector

Select by continuous heat, intermittent spikes, wet vs dry environment, and duty level.

Material Continuous Intermittent Best For
Heatwave™ (Glass-Filled Nylon Polymer Blend) Up to 500°F Up to 550°F Food-safe bakery/oven cycles; wet or humid heat; pharma/food processing
Glass-Filled Nylon Up to 500°F Up to 550°F Moist environments; ovens; food processing; corrosion-prone areas
High-Temp Epoxy Up to 475°F Up to 525°F High-temp rolling with moderate duty; ovens and process carts
High-Temp Phenolic Up to 475°F Up to 525°F (30 min) Dry heat industrial carts/racks; cost-effective high-temp option
Semi-Steel / Gray Iron Recommended to 600°F Up to 800°F Industrial dry heat; solid durability; mid-tier vs ductile steel
Ductile Steel (Ductile Iron) Up to 800°F 800°F+ Extreme heat + highest loads; powder coating; foundry; aerospace
Fast Selection Rules
  • Wet / humid heat: Heatwave™ or glass-filled nylon.
  • Dry heat: phenolic, semi-steel/gray iron, or ductile steel.
  • Extreme duty (highest capacity + durability): ductile steel.
  • Food-safe environments: Heatwave™, glass-filled nylon, and epoxy.

Specs & ordering notes (grease, components, sizes)
  • Capacity range: approximately 300 lb to 7,000 lb per caster (varies by wheel, size, and rig).
  • Components: all-metal rig components; no plastic in the caster rig.
  • Grease: high-temp food-grade grease is standard. To request no grease, add “NO GREASE” in cart notes at checkout.
  • Sizes: 3" × 1-1/4" through 12" × 3" across casters and replacement wheels.
FAQ
Continuous vs intermittent heat rating — what’s the difference?
Continuous ratings apply to sustained operating temperature. Intermittent ratings apply to short exposure spikes. When in doubt, size for continuous operating temperature.
Which materials are best for wet or humid high-heat environments?
Heatwave™ and glass-filled nylon are commonly preferred for wet/humid environments compared to phenolic or steel-based wheels.
Which wheels are best for extreme heat and the highest loads?
Ductile steel wheels/casters are recommended for extreme high-temp heavy-duty applications due to high strength and an 800°F continuous rating.
