SSHS40P2HPB is a 4" stainless steel high-temperature swivel caster engineered for bakery racks, oven racks, and food-service equipment operating in extreme heat.
Part of the Colson Heatwave™ Series, it is rated for continuous service up to 500°F with a 300 lb load capacity. Designed for food-contact and washdown environments, it uses a Heatwave glass-filled polymer wheel with wave-designed webbing to dissipate heat and resist flat spotting.
Common Applications: Professional bakeries, commercial kitchens, food manufacturing & processing, powder coating racks, and industrial ovens.

This Colson SSHS40P2HPB 4" x 1.5" Heatwave Swivel Stainless Caster – 300 lb is rated to 300 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster uses a top-plate mount. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel caster. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for Up to 500°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 5.125". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
