All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Data center casters move populated server racks and cabinets safely across raised floors, then hold them level and fixed once positioned. A loaded rack can exceed 2,500 lb, so the spec favors low-profile swivel casters with brakes, leveling feet, and smooth non-marking tread that will not damage floor tiles or transmit shock to hardware. CasterHQ stocks rack-mobility casters, precision small-diameter casters, floor locks, and stainless options, priced and in stock.

The detail people miss on rack casters is the transition from roll to fixed. A populated rack needs to roll in on brakes and then sit dead level so the rails line up and the load is off the casters. We pair low-profile braked casters with leveling feet or floor locks so the rack does not creep and the weight transfers to the floor once it is placed.

Our team specs data centers casters by load per caster, floor and environment, mount, and any compliance the application demands, then confirms fit before you order. We stock the range for same-day shipping from Mansfield, Texas, so replacements do not stall your equipment.
A fully populated rack commonly runs 1,500 to 2,500 lb or more. Size casters to the loaded weight divided by four plus a safety factor, and confirm raised-floor tile ratings.
Low-profile swivel casters with non-marking tread and brakes distribute load without damaging floor tiles. Keep contact pressure within the tile rating and use leveling once positioned.
Both. Brakes control the rack during placement, and leveling feet or floor locks take the weight off the casters and hold the rack level and fixed for operation.
Yes. Non-marking polyurethane protects finished and raised floors and avoids debris that can affect airflow and cleanliness in the aisle.
Yes. Small-diameter, low-overall-height casters fit under racks and cabinets with limited clearance while still carrying substantial load.
Yes. Stainless rigs with sealed bearings resist corrosion in humidity-controlled and cleaned environments, matching the footprints of standard rack casters.
