All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

General Duty Casters are the most affordable type of caster made for light-duty applications. These Casters are typically used by large OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) who typically make promotional retail and store displays as well as store fixtures that need to be on wheels in order to easily move around. General Duty Casters are also used on many other light-duty applications such as furniture, wooden furniture dollies, work benches, tables, and just about any application that does not exceed the Caster's load capacity. These Casters range in size from 2" diameters up to 4" diameters and have capacities that range from 90 lbs per caster up to 300 lbs per caster.
The main difference when comparing a General Duty Caster to a standard Institutional Duty caster is the raceway. General Duty Casters have a single ball raceway which is why we can offer these casters at such a great price. The other difference is the thickness of the caster plate and legs. General Duty Casters have slightly thinner gauge steel compared to institutional casters which is the other reason why these are such economically-priced casters.
These Casters are zinc plated to help prevent rust and corrosion when exposed to moisture, chemicals, or wash-down applications and these casters have formed stamped steel housing which are great quality features for a General Duty Caster making them stronger than a lot of the other types of similar products on the market.
