Our Medium Duty '9' Series is one of the most recognized and commonly used casters in a broad spectrum of industries and is one of the most popular selling caster series; offering exceptional quality, functionality, value, and availability. This series is made of 1/4" thick cold rolled steel; designed, formed, and welded for optimal mobility and made to withstand the rigors and abuse typically seen in Medium duty applications. Double Ball raceways and a 5/8" nut & king-pin are standard features; however we also offer a rivet kingpin version & a kingpinless version. Option Menu / Upgrades:
We offer many upgrades to allow you to build the caster exactly how you want. Below you will find a list of options with detailed explanations of each which you can select from the options menu above if you decide on upgrading the caster to suit your needs.


Mounting Hardware: This is an optional upgrade - to save you time from having to source your own mounting hardware we stock and provide you with the option to buy the hardware from us at a wholesale price. Each set of mounting hardware comes with Carriage Bolts as well as Slotted Drive Hex Steel Thread Cutting Screws and you will really only need to use one when mounting. We provide both options when you order that way it will fit almost 99% of any equipment or carts you decide to use the casters on. Please make sure the 1" length is long enough before selecting this option. The hardware also comes with matching flat washers and lock nuts and everything is zinc plated to prevent rust and corrosion.


Bearing Options:


Roller Bearings
Roller Bearings are the most popular wheel bearing in the industry; Roller Bearings come standard on these wheels if you decide to leave the selection menu blank. Roller Bearings are fantastic for heavier loads as the weight is evenly balanced and distributed through the hub of the wheel. Easy to roll, easy to maintain. Roller Bearings are great at maximizing the capacity of the casters to prolong life as best as possible. These bearings will require periodic grease which can be applied through either our zerk axle that runs through the wheel which comes standard with your order, or the grease fitting that is located in the wheel depending on the wheel type. We recommend lubricating the roller bearings every 6 months for normal use and every month for heavy use if these are used around eat applications.


Precision Bearings

Precision bearings reduce the friction of the wheels and are great for smooth and clean floors. These bearings are a two-piece Q34 Sealed Precision Ball Bearing and allow the user to initiate the cart much easier as well as roll smoother and quieter and are completely maintenance-free and do not need to be greased or lubricated.


Brakes:


Top Locking Brake:

These are the most popular and affordable brakes for heavy-duty casters. The on and off lever is located on the side of the caster and when you engage the brake pedal there is a shoe that will engage over the top of the wheel to lock the wheel from spinning. Easy, affordable, simple.


Total Locking Brakes:
The total lock brake is a huge upgrade to any swivel caster as it allows the user to engage the brake from the trailing end of the caster while you are rolling the cart or equipment. The total lock brake locks the swivel raceway from rotating and it locks the wheel at the same time all with the press of one lever. This will make any swivel caster completely stationary. A very good upgrade!
