The casters support a 75 lb capacity per caster, for a total weight capacity of 375 lbs per chair when using five casters. This listing is for an automatic decompression brake style, meaning the casters lock automatically when weight is released from the chair or not applied. As soon as a minimum of 12-15 lbs of weight is applied, the casters release the automatic depression brake and are free to roll while being used. As soon as you get up from the chair, the brakes will automatically engage again and remain where you left the chair.
