PRODUCT CODE: SSHS40P2HPB
SSHS40P2HPB is a 4" stainless steel high-temperature swivel caster engineered for bakery racks, oven racks, and food-service equipment operating in extreme heat.
Part of the Colson Heatwave™ Series, it is rated for continuous service up to 500°F with a 300 lb load capacity. Designed for food-contact and washdown environments, it uses a Heatwave glass-filled polymer wheel with wave-designed webbing to dissipate heat and resist flat spotting.
Common Applications: Professional bakeries, commercial kitchens, food manufacturing & processing, powder coating racks, and industrial ovens.

Key Features
SSHS40P2HPB • Stainless Swivel Only (No Brake)
500°F Continuous Service Rating
Built for ovens, proofers, bakery racks, and heat-cycle environments where standard wheels soften, crack, or fail.
All Stainless Steel Swivel Rig
Corrosion-resistant construction for hot, wet, and washdown-adjacent operations in foodservice and processing.
Wave-Designed Webbing for Heat Dissipation
Wheel geometry engineered to shed heat during cycling, improving stability and service life under temperature stress.
Heatwave™ Glass-Filled Polymer Wheel
Resists heat deformation and flat-spotting compared to traditional high-temp epoxy resin wheels.
85 Shore A Durometer (Controlled Roll + Durability)
Balanced hardness for long wear while maintaining predictable movement on typical bakery and kitchen floors.
300 lb Load Capacity (Per Caster)
Designed for heavy commercial racks and carts; select with margin for impacts and push forces.
Direct Replacement 4 1/8" × 3 1/8" Plate
Common commercial rack footprint—reduces downtime by avoiding adapter plates or modification work.
Plain Bore Bearing for High-Heat Reliability
Simple, durable design suited for heat cycles where greased bearings can break down.
2× Life & 2.9× Abrasion Resistance vs Epoxy Wheels
Colson Group testing reports extended dynamic life and substantially lower abrasion loss than popular epoxy resin wheels.
