This page is for our 5" X 2" Stainless Steel (S304) Rigid Caster and is considered a medium to heavy-duty caster series in the industry and combined with a Hard tread Phenolic Wheel. The stainless steel is 304 Stainless steel, double ball swivel raceway with a grease fitting, and 1/2" cold-forged stainless steel top plate & yoke legs. This is the highest quality stainless steel caster in the industry and is commonly used in the Food Service industry, Platform trucks, industrial, and commercial applications. The mounting plate size on this series is 4" x 4-1/2" with many upgradeable options available including stainless bearings, Delrin bearings, and multiple stainless steel brake options as well. Load Capacities up to 1,250 lbs per caster depending on the size. The wheel is a Phenolic Wheel which is a very strong and hard wheel that is going to be easy to roll and will not flat spot under heavy static loads. Phenolic wheels are great for long-term storage solutions and they are very affordable wheels. Phenolic wheels are not the best wheels to be used around heavy washdown applications long term but are a very resistant wheel to oils, chemicals, mild acids, and other harsh substances.
Stainless Steel 3/4" Roller Bearing and Spanner Included - To upgrade to a stainless steel precision bearing use the menu on the right-hand side. Precision bearings are easier to roll, quieter, and sealed which means they are maintenance-free and do not require grease.
