We machined this from a solid block of steel. This is a non-porous wheel with a very high tensile strength, impact-resistant, and impervious to chemicals. The temperature range on this wheel is -40F up to 2,500F. The wheel is durable, but you must follow the weight capacity guidelines of our swivel caster bracket (450 lbs), which holds this wheel. The Wheels hub design has an industrial yet beautifully designed aesthetic look and feels that complements any cart or piece of furniture.
This Caster can be used in any practical caster application. It is also commonly used by furniture designers and DIYers on their vintage, retro, or industrial furniture, such as coffee tables which are usually the centerpiece in most homes.
