This listing is for a 4-inch steel wheel stem caster with a total locking brake. This total locking brake locks both the swivel raceway and the wheel at the same time. The steel wheels are gray iron wheels also known as semi-steel wheels. These steel wheels are precisely machined and have a tensile strength of 30,000 psi. The weight capacity on this 3-inch should not exceed 350 lbs per caster and steel wheels are not completely impact resistant so these should only be rolled on smooth concrete floors with no debris and should never be dropped. The temperature range on this wheel is -45 degrees Fahrenheit up to 600F. The four-inch hub design is solid and will look similar to the photo but may not be exact due to inventory and manufacturer although we do keep a full stock and will ship the same or the next day. The swivel yoke that holds the wheel has a double ball bearing raceway, cold rolled gauge steel for increased strength, and is finished off with zinc plating to add protection from rust and corrosion when exposed to water or chemicals.
