All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Vintage and industrial-style casters with the look of mid-century steel manufacturing: exposed kingpin, brass hardware, dark patina finishes, and retro plate dimensions. CasterHQ stocks 176 vintage configurations for furniture restoration, hospitality fixtures, custom workbenches, and reproduction industrial carts. Real cast-iron wheels, real load capacity — not decorative.
Vintage casters are functional steel and iron casters that reproduce the visual style of 1900-1950s industrial manufacturing: exposed kingpin construction, visible hardware, brushed steel or brass plates, wood or cast-iron wheels with steel hubs, and traditional drop-forged yoke construction. Unlike décor-only reproductions sold in home stores, true vintage casters carry real load ratings (75-1,000 lb per caster) and are fully usable for furniture, workbenches, hospitality fixtures, and reproduction industrial carts.
Vintage-style casters reproduce the look of 1900-1950s industrial casters: exposed kingpin instead of sealed precision bearing, visible hardware, brushed steel or brass plates, wood or cast-iron wheels with steel hubs, and traditional drop-forged yoke construction.
The look is intentional but the load capacity is real. These aren't decorative reproductions — they're functional steel and iron casters in period-correct visual style. Used for furniture restoration, hospitality fixtures, custom workbenches, and reproduction industrial carts.
Yes. Most CasterHQ vintage casters are rated 75-1,000 lb per caster. A set of 4 supports 300-4,000 lb depending on style.
The vintage look does not compromise structural rating. Drop-forged yoke construction and proper bearing selection deliver full industrial-grade capacity in period-correct visual style.
True vintage casters (sold here) are functional steel and iron with real load ratings. Décor-only casters from home stores have weaker yokes, plastic hubs hidden behind painted-on details, and ratings under 50 lb.
Always check the rated capacity stamping on the yoke before specifying. CasterHQ vintage configurations all carry real industrial ratings — we don't stock décor-only casters because they fail under actual use.

"For hardwood floors, never spec cast-iron wheels — they'll dent and mark hardwood within weeks. The trick we recommend for restoration projects is pairing vintage-style steel yokes with hard-rubber treads. You get the period look with zero floor damage. This combo has been the go-to for restoration accounts ordering through CasterHQ."
