The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

The four phenolic casters here come from Hamilton with 10 in wheels, rated 8,200 lb each. Every one uses a 6-1/2 x 7-1/2 in top plate, with swivel and rigid versions, with no brake options. Two examples are a Hamilton 10 x 3 in Nylast rigid super duty caster rated 8,200 lb and a Hamilton EPSD-13NYB 10 x 3 in Nylast swivel caster rated 8,200 lb. Temperature ratings sit at Up to 250°F for most of the page.
