The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

The two steel casters here come from Hamilton with 10 in wheels, rated 4,000 lb each. Every one uses a 5-1/4 x 7-1/4 in top plate, and you can pick swivel or rigid. Examples include a Hamilton CH-13FSB 10 x 3 in forged steel rigid caster rated 4,000 lb and a Hamilton CH-13FSB 10 x 3 in forged steel swivel caster rated 4,000 lb. The usual temperature rating here is -40°F to 320°F.
