W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Typical builds show wheel diameters 3-1/2 in, polyurethane and stainless treads, and capacities 600 to 800 lb. Replace worn corners in matched sets when possible so the cart tracks straight under load. Confirm stem length and thread pitch on stem mounts so the shoulder seats flush in the boss.
