All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

3-1/4" x 2" Phenolic Casters

These 3-1/4 in phenolic wheel casters fit shop carts, equipment, and material handling carts that move heavier loads. Casters in this collection are rated 700 lb per caster. Wheels are 3-1/4 x 2 in swivel, rigid, and brake models. Phenolic handles dry heat, oil, and grease, but it is not made for water or washdown. Sets of 4 show the combined set rating on the title, so divide by 4 for the per caster load. Phenolic rolls easily on smooth floors and handles heat, oil, and grease. It is hard, so it is loud on rough floors. Match the 4 x 4-1/2 in plate, bolt pattern, and overall height before you order. Choose swivel casters when the cart must turn in place, rigid casters for straight travel, and add a brake when the cart needs to stay put. Read the listing for the exact wheel size, overall height, and mount shown. Phenolic aisle: phenolic casters. Plate aisle: plate casters.
