All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

Admin ACTIVE for 5-x-2-casters-wheels, October 26, 2026: casters about 200 to 4,800; wheels to 23,000 [S1].
Complete caster titles top out about 4,800 lb each. Bare wheels can list much higher with no yoke rating. Use the number on the listing you buy.
6 x 2 clears debris better and is the next step up on the same plate family. 5 x 2 is a common middle cart size when overall height matters.
