All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.

A spring caster lets the wheel move up under a bump so the shock does not pass straight into the cart. That protects electronics, glass, molds and other fragile loads, and it keeps all four wheels on an uneven floor [S1].
These casters use a solid polyurethane spring block. It does not corrode in wet areas and it holds its rate over time. Steel coils can give more travel but can rust and lose tension. The swivel rig runs on a thrust bearing, and the frame is chrome plated [S1].
| Model | Wheel | Rating | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swivel and rigid | Polyurethane | 1,500 lb | 7-1/2 in |
| Ergonomic swivel and rigid | Polyurethane on aluminum | 1,500 lb | 7-1/2 in |
From product fields [S1].
A spring caster works best when the load is in the middle of its range. Far below the rating, the spring barely moves and gives little cushioning; at the limit, it bottoms out on bumps.

Each is rated 1,500 lb.
A solid polyurethane spring, which does not rust and resists fatigue.
4 x 4-1/2 in. Overall height is 7-1/2 in.
