The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Four Hamilton UltraGlide dual wheel casters with 8 in polyurethane wheels: 8 x 4 in models rated 8,100 lb and an 8 x 5 in rigid rated 9,000 lb. Three use an 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 in top plate, and both swivel and rigid are offered. Two wheels side by side on one axle make tight turns easier under heavy loads. All four are brakeless and listed for -50°F to 200°F.
