The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

Most mount on a 4 x 4-1/2 in plate, with 2-1/2 x 3-5/8 and 2-11/16 x 3-5/8 in also offered, in both swivel and rigid, and 77 have a total lock or top lock brake. Examples include a Colson D4.04108.835 SS 4 x 2 in polyolefin rigid stainless caster rated 500 lb and a D4.08109.831 BRK4 SS 8 x 2 in polyolefin total lock stainless caster rated 900 lb.
