The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

The Mini-Mite is the answer to a problem most casters can’t solve: the load is heavy but the vertical clearance under the load isn’t there. Total the static load and payload, divide by the load-bearing casters, then add 25% margin over the worst-case caster. Low-profile casters give up some ride compliance for height, so do not also shave the capacity margin. Keep the full 25% so the smaller wheel runs well inside its rating on machine bases that load unevenly.
Twin Nylast reaches the full 16,000 lb in the lowest height and resists chemicals and impact. Plastex phenolic carries less but rolls hard and true on smooth floors. Neither protects a finished floor the way polyurethane would, so on delicate floors confirm the surface tolerates a hard wheel before specifying low profile.
Top plate is standard and a low-profile caster is chosen specifically to minimize the stack height from floor to deck. Confirm the plate thickness and bolt pattern carry the rating and that the mounting surface is flat, low-profile casters are less forgiving of an uneven mounting pad than a tall swivel.
