The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

Durastar Collapsible Wire Containers and Carts · Up to 4,000 lb

This collection holds Material Handling 2 casters with metal and phenolic wheels, built for heavy equipment, dies, molds, and plant carts that move very heavy loads. Casters in this collection range from 800 to 4,000 lb per caster. Wheels in this category range from 16 up to 40 inches in diameter. Metal wheels roll with low effort and handle debris and heat. They are loud and can mark finished floors. Phenolic rolls easily on smooth floors and handles dry heat, oil, and grease, but it is not made for water or washdown. It suits warehouse carts, toolboxes, and tool carts, and it is loud on rough floors. Match plate size, bolt pattern, and overall height before you order.
