The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Durastar polyurethane on glass-filled nylon wheels

This collection holds MU with polyurethane and nylon treads, made to replace worn wheels on carts, dollies, racks, and equipment. Wheels in this collection range from 800 to 1,400 lb per wheel. Wheels in this category range from 4 up to 8 inches in diameter with a 2 in tread width. Polyurethane (poly or urethane) treads are quiet, floor safe, and resist water and many chemicals. Nylon rolls easily, resists water and many chemicals, and is hard, so it is loud on rough floors. Softer polyurethane or soft rubber or TPR tread is the better pick when the floor has chips or grit. Match the bore, hub length, diameter, and tread width before you order. Order the axle and spacers if the old ones are worn.
