The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Top Hat Bushings

These top hat bushings are two-piece axle spacers that hold precision ball bearings in a caster wheel hub. They set the bearing bore on the axle and take up side play so the wheel runs true. Sizes on this page include 1/2 in ID with 11/16 or 3/4 in OD at 1-1/8 in length, plus a 3/4 in ID x 15/16 in OD x 1-5/8 in steel bushing. Materials listed are steel, stainless steel, and Delrin. Match ID to your axle, OD to the bearing bore, and length to the hub before you rebuild a wheel. Steel covers most dry indoor rebuilds. Stainless suits washdown and outdoor corrosion.
