All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

Steel and stainless casters here serve forging carts, aerospace fixtures, and multi-ton movers. Expect wheel diameters 6, 8 in, steel and stainless treads, and industrial frames. Bring plate and stem measurements when replacing unmarked casters so the new corners sit level. For dual-wheel or wide treads, check fork clearance and swivel radius in tight aisles. These extreme-duty options cover everyday forging carts, aerospace fixtures, and multi-ton movers without jumping to extreme forged series.

A U-grooved wheel has a rounded channel that rides on round pipe or bar stock instead of angle iron. Same fixed-path principle as V-groove, different rail — and round rail is often what's already in the building. U-grooved casters carry up to 6,500 lb per wheel.
