The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

5" x 1.25" Polyolefin Casters for light institutional and furniture-grade frames. Expect wheel diameters 5 in, polyolefin treads, and plate-mount frames. When floors see chemicals or washdowns, prefer sealed bearings and non-absorbent wheel compounds. Size capacity from the heaviest corner load with shock margin, and keep overall height consistent across the set. These light-duty options cover everyday light institutional and furniture-grade frames without jumping to extreme forged series.
