All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

This collection gathers plate-mount casters used on chemical, food-contact, and washdown carts. Typical builds show wheel diameters 6, 8, 10, 12 in, nylon treads, and capacities 5,400 to 10,000 lb. Confirm stem length and thread pitch on stem mounts so the shoulder seats flush in the boss. Replace worn corners in matched sets when possible so the cart tracks straight under load.

Maxi-Duty Caster Series with Nylast Nylon Wheels

Hamilton's Nylast wheel is made from solid cast high performance nylon. Nylast is of cast nylon, and has superior impact strength and resilience compared to conventional injection-molded nylon wheels. The Hamilton Nylast material is also specially formulated with finely divided particles of molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) to enhance its load bearing capability while maintaining the impact resistance inherent to nylon.

Other key properties of Nylast include resistance to moisture and chemicals plus floor protection resulting in a wheel well-suited for corrosive environments or applications where sanitary conditions are important.
