All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

The ten phenolic casters here come from Hamilton with 6 to 12 in wheels, rated 2,000 to 4,800 lb each. Plates include 5-1/4 x 7-1/4 in, with swivel and rigid versions and without brakes. Two examples are a Hamilton R-SEC-13PH 10 x 3 in Plastex phenolic rigid caster rated 2,900 lb and a Hamilton S-SEC-13SWF70D 10 x 3 in UltraGlide swivel caster rated 4,800 lb.

Super Endurance Caster Series with Plastex Phenolic Wheels

Fiber-filled phenolic resin, molded under extreme pressure, gives Hamilton Plastex wheels the ability to carry heavy loads without damaging floors in intermittent service. They are non-marking, resist corrosion from oil, water, grease and commonly used acids or solvents, and will not spark. They can be operated continuously in temperatures ranging from -50° to 260° F and intermittently to 300° F.
