All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.

The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.

The eight polyurethane casters here come from Hamilton with 6 to 12 in wheels, rated 3,100 to 4,000 lb each. Most use a 5-1/4 x 7-1/4 in top plate, with swivel and rigid versions, with no brake options. Two examples are a Hamilton 8 x 3 in UltraGlide rigid triple wheel caster rated 4,000 lb and a Hamilton S-CH-83SWF70D 8 x 3 in UltraGlide triple wheel swivel caster rated 4,000 lb.
