This Colson 2.03456.52 HT BRK1 3.5" x 1.25" Thermo Caster with Wheel Lock Brake is rated to 300 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a High-Temp Nylon wheel with a 1-1/4" tread width. Nylon resists chemicals and moisture and carries high loads, which suits washdown and wet environments.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 2-1/2" x 3-5/8" plate and a 1-3/4" x 2-13/16" to 3-1/16" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel with Brake caster with a wheel brake. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. The brake locks the wheel to hold the load in place. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
The High-Temp Nylon wheel performs best on smooth, hard industrial floors. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
