This product listing is for CasterHQ's 6" x 2" Rubber Off-Road BBQ Pit and Smoke Casters. With a 350 lb capacity per caster and a total of 1,400 lbs per set of 4, these casters mean serious business. Our part #CHQ-BBQ6x2HD1400-CK includes four swivel casters, all with off-road 6" x 2" rubber on polyolefin wheels. This set lets you steer your BBQ pit or Smoker with ease while accommodating your small mounting plate where larger wheels are typically difficult to find.
Mounting Hardware: (OPTIONAL ADD-ON)
If you need mounting hardware, choose the hardware option on the right-hand side of the product page. Mounting hardware includes 16 one-inch bolts (5/16), 16 nuts (5/16), and 16 washers. Bigger wheels? No problem. We also have 5" x 2" and 6" x 2" BBQ caster kits. Just remember, these casters will raise your pit by 7-1/2 inches from the ground if you are adding to a unit with no casters but if you currently have 6" wheels installed this will not increase your overall height.
Strong Off-Road Rubber Wheels:
Our heavy-duty cast rubber wheels are tough and great for rolling in grass, dirt, and outdoor terrains. They're built for carrying heavy loads like a BBQ pit or smoker, with thicker treads, stronger spokes, wider wheel treads, and bigger hubs. But keep in mind, be sure to keep your load capacity under 1,400 lbs if sitting for long periods.

And it's not just for BBQ pits. You can use this kit for any piece of equipment, cart, tool boxes, tool carts, job boxes, gang boxes, and more as long as the mounting plate has an overall size of 2-3/8" x 3-5/8" with a bolt-hole pattern of 1-3/4" x 2-7/8" slotted to 3" which is a very common universal plate size on a lot of equipment. The robust design features thicker treads and stronger components to handle heavy loads on rough terrains like grass or dirt. Ensure to keep the load under 1,400 lbs for optimal performance.
This 6" x 2" Rubber Swivel Off-Road Caster – 1400 lb is rated to 350 lbs per caster. Size a set by dividing the total load by the number of casters, and for uneven floors assume 3 of 4 casters carry the load. Keep continuous-use loads within about 75-80% of the rating.
This caster runs a Polyolefin wheel with a 2" tread width. Polyurethane protects finished floors, rolls quietly, and resists most chemicals while carrying heavy loads.
This caster uses a top-plate mount with a 2-3/8" x 3-5/8" plate and a 1-3/4" x 2-7/8" slotted to 3" bolt pattern. Measure your existing mounting holes before ordering; if you are replacing casters, match the bolt pattern - most standard patterns interchange across brands.
This is a Swivel caster. Swivel casters rotate 360 degrees for full maneuverability. For most mobile equipment we recommend 2 swivel + 2 rigid, or 4 swivel with at least 2 brakes.
Rated for -20°F to 180°F. Operating outside the rated range can reduce wheel life and load capacity, so match it to your environment (wash-down, freezer, oven-adjacent, etc.).
The Polyolefin wheel performs best on smooth to semi-smooth floors including sealed concrete, tile, and epoxy. For non-marking or clean-environment needs, ask us about matching tread options.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 6-1/2". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
