Set of 5 Compression Brake Casters automatically lock the wheels as soon as weight is applied to the office chair. It only takes as little as 12-15 lbs of weight for the compression casters to lock. Self Braking Casters utilize a special friction brake that automatically engages and locks the wheel as soon as weight is applied to the chair. These types of chair casters are a requirement for safety standards within many industries including, retirement homes, nursing homes, hospitals, surgery centers, physical therapy centers, rehabilitation centers, and even corporate offices where the office chairs need to remain in one location when being utilized. When the person is not sitting on the chair, it is very easy for the chair to be maneuvered around. As soon as weight is applied, the chair will remain in its place.

Shipping method

This caster uses a Grip Ring Stem mount (7/16" x 7/8" stem). Stem casters press or thread into a socket - verify the stem diameter and length match your existing setup before ordering.
The overall height (floor to top of plate or stem) is 2-7/16". Account for it when checking equipment clearance, dock height, and ergonomic working height.
