Related equipment on CasterHQ: Plate-mount industrial casters. CasterHQ sells plate casters and industrial wheels; it does not own Elesa or Tellure Rôta.
Tellure Rôta makes industrial wheels and castors — the rolling hardware that goes under carts, racks and equipment so people can move loads on a plant floor. Elesa makes standard mechanical components for machinery and automation. This story is about who owns Tellure Rôta now, not about a product recall and not about a catalog disappearing overnight.
In a June 24, 2026 announcement from Formigine (posted June 25 on Tellure Rôta’s site), Elesa S.p.A. said it acquired 100% of Tellure Rôta S.p.A. The deal completes a path that began in 2024 when Elesa took 60% of the share capital. The companies say organizational and management models are now fully aligned.
Who still signs what: Elesa and Tellure Rôta say their brands, sales networks and production facilities will keep operating independently. That is the company’s own framing — the brand name on the wheel catalog is not the same question as who owns the company that prints it.
Board lineup as printed: Carlo Bertani, CEO of Elesa, continues as chair of Tellure Rôta’s board. Fabio Invernizzi and Alex Pollini serve as Managing Directors. Alberto Bertani, President of Elesa, joins as a board member. Giorgio Mercalli remains General Manager.
Tellure Rôta was founded in 1953 and is headquartered in Formigine, in Italy’s Modena province. The company says it has been a benefit corporation since 2023 — that is Tellure Rôta’s claim about its corporate form, not a product performance rating. Elesa was founded in 1941 and is based in Monza; it describes itself as a maker of knobs, handles, hinges, leveling feet, wheels and other standard machine parts, with a wide export network.
Carlo Bertani, speaking as board chair, called the full acquisition a natural step after a progressive integration and said the aim is more value for customers on quality, range, technology, efficiency and service. Treat that as executive framing, not an independent quality score.
What this is not: a statement that Tellure Rôta SKUs are discontinued, that Elesa part numbers replace every Tellure Rôta castor overnight, or that a buyer’s existing approval drawing automatically changes. Brands stay independent per the companies.
What to do with this
On the next wheel or castor RFQ that cites Tellure Rôta, ask who owns the company now, whether the brand and factory on your drawing stay the same, and who signs commercial terms after the 100% close. If your approval is brand-specific, confirm the nameplate and factory address still match what you approved. Do not assume a 60%-to-100% ownership step rewrites every legacy print.
Limits
100% acquisition, 2024 60% starting stake, independent brands/networks/plants claim, board names (Carlo Bertani, Fabio Invernizzi, Alex Pollini, Alberto Bertani), Giorgio Mercalli as GM, 1953 founding, Formigine HQ, benefit-corporation-since-2023 claim, and Elesa background figures are from Tellure Rôta’s June 2026 press release. Financial terms were not disclosed on the page this desk used. Independence of brands is the companies’ statement. CasterHQ does not own Elesa or Tellure Rôta. The photograph is an industrial caster stand-in from Wikimedia Commons; it is not a Tellure Rôta or Elesa product photo.
