NEURA Robotics Acquires ACTIVE Shuttle From Bosch Rexroth

NEURA Robotics said it is acquiring the ACTIVE Shuttle AGV from Bosch Rexroth effective Oct. 1, 2026. NEURA Mobile Robots takes hardware, software and service; the companies claim continuity for existing customers. This is an ownership handover, not a fleet ban or recall.

An ACTIVE Shuttle is an automated guided vehicle — a floor robot that moves small load carriers and parts between workstations without a driver. Bosch Rexroth built and sold that platform. This story is about who owns it next, not about a safety recall and not about a ban on fleets already running.

Who is NEURA? NEURA Robotics is a German Physical AI company based in Metzingen. Inside the group, NEURA Mobile Robots GmbH handles autonomous intralogistics and AGVs. That unit sells mobile AGVs under the established ek robotics brand. The company says it has more than 300 employees, with headquarters in Hamburg and further sites in Reutlingen, Milan, Prague and Buckingham.

On Aug. 13, 2026, NEURA Robotics said it is acquiring the ACTIVE Shuttle AGV from Bosch Rexroth, effective Oct. 1, 2026. NEURA Mobile Robots is taking over the hardware and the software, and will offer service to customers going forward. The press page says Bosch Rexroth and NEURA Mobile Robots prepared the handover together for a smooth transition.

What stays: ACTIVE Fleet Manager and ROKIT navigation software remain part of the solution, the company says. Over a longer horizon, NEURA says those tools may also become available through its Neuraverse software ecosystem for other NEURA robotics applications. ACTIVE Shuttle is also planned to pick up NEURA AI functions and group interfaces step by step — that is a company roadmap, not a same-day software flash.

Founder and CEO David Reger framed the deal as part of building an open Physical AI ecosystem in which mobile robots, industrial robots and humanoids share infrastructure. Andreas Lindemann, Managing Director of NEURA Mobile Robots GmbH, said continuity, service and investment security come first for existing customers, while the group opens new technical options later.

What this is not: a product recall, a forced fleet shutdown, or a claim that every ACTIVE Shuttle site automatically runs new NEURA AI on Oct. 1. It is an ownership and service handover on a published clock.

What to do with this

If ACTIVE Shuttle is on your floor, ask in writing who services the fleet after Oct. 1, 2026, and whether your ACTIVE Fleet Manager / ROKIT setup stays supported under NEURA Mobile Robots. Ask whether any AI or Neuraverse interface is optional, required, or not yet available for your serial numbers. Do not treat a continuity press claim as a site acceptance test.

For AGV rolling hardware CasterHQ actually stocks, see keyed drive wheels. That catalog is separate from the ACTIVE Shuttle ownership change.

Limits

Effective date (Oct. 1, 2026), hardware/software/service transfer, continuity claim, ACTIVE Fleet Manager and ROKIT retention, Neuraverse roadmap, Physical AI integration plans, employee count (>300), site list, and quotes from David Reger and Andreas Lindemann are from NEURA Robotics’ Aug. 13, 2026 press page. This desk did not see a customer contract, a service-level agreement, or a Bosch Rexroth counter-release. Continuity and investment-security language is the companies’ claim. CasterHQ does not sell ACTIVE Shuttle or ek robotics AGVs. The photograph is a warehouse AGV stand-in from Wikimedia Commons; it is not an ACTIVE Shuttle, Bosch Rexroth, or NEURA product photo.
