OEM here means the part is made to the equipment maker’s specification — not a generic aftermarket substitute. This story is a lease and an occupy-by date, not a claim the building is already open and shipping.
Who is Parts Town Unlimited? It distributes genuine OEM parts for commercial foodservice equipment, residential appliances, and HVAC gear, and it already runs Global Fulfillment Centers in Chicago, Phoenix, and Munich, the company says.
The news: in a GlobeNewswire release dated Aug. 26, 2026 (carried on Markets Insider / Business Insider as a press-release syndication), Parts Town Unlimited said it signed a full-building lease at Jackson 85 North (85 North Business Park) in Pendergrass, Georgia. It plans to occupy 538,450 square feet by the end of 2026. At that size, the company calls the site its largest Global Fulfillment Center to date. More than 140 team members are planned for the facility, per the release.
What is not true: a signed lease and an end-of-2026 occupy target are not the same as “open and shipping today.” Delivery-speed figures in the release are company claims. Parts Town says that once operational, the network will bring parts to 93% of the U.S. within two days, and that local pickup and same-day delivery could put parts in local customers’ hands in as little as two hours. Label those as company projections until independent service metrics are published.
On automation, the company says the building will use a modular design with robotic conveyance and plans advanced AI-powered robotics plus automation at packing, shipping sortation, and receiving. Those are planned features, not a desk-verified installed robot count. Parts Town also calls this its first LEED-certified Global Fulfillment Center — treat LEED as the company’s plan/claim until a certification listing is checked.
Bill Geary, identified as CEO (the release also uses “Chief Accelerator aka CEO”), said the Southeast site is meant to put more OEM parts closer to customers, cut transit time and cost, and make room for partners’ expanding inventories. That framing is from the Aug. 26 release.
