The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

You get three polyurethane casters here from Hamilton with 12 in wheels, rated 10,200 to 13,000 lb each. Every one uses a 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 in top plate, in both swivel and rigid, with no brake options. Two examples are a Hamilton 12 x 4 in UltraGlide rigid dual wheel caster rated 10,200 lb and a Hamilton 12 x 4 in DuraGlide poly dual wheel swivel caster rated 13,000 lb.
