The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

The two phenolic casters here come from Hamilton with 12 in wheels, rated 6,000 to 10,000 lb each. All mount on a 6-1/2 x 7-1/2 in plate, with swivel and rigid versions. Two examples are a Hamilton EPSD-124NYB 12 x 4 in Nylast rigid caster rated 6,000 lb and a Hamilton 12 x 4 in Nylast swivel super duty caster rated 10,000 lb. Listed temperature ratings are mostly up to 250°F.
