Low Profile 3" Swivel Casters improve stability with greater loads while minimizing overall height. These Casters are designed primarily for equipment that is seldom moved such as heavy business machines, computers, commercial appliances, vending machines, server towers, and electronics. The low profile 3 Inch business machine casters have a weight capacity up to 1,000 lbs per Caster depending on the wheel material chosen. Polyolefin (industrial plastic) wheels are more affordable but can only withstand up to 500 lbs per caster. Glass Filled Nylon caster wheels in our low profile rigs can withstand up to 1,000 lbs per caster which is very impressive and hard to find these days. We keep our most popular low profile casters in stock and ready to ship for immediate delivery to you. You can choose from a Phenolic Wheel material or a Glass Filled Nylon wheel material which will both allow you to reach 1,000 lbs per caster for a total capacity of 4,000 lbs if you use a complete set of four casters. Phenolic wheels are the more affordable version and are great for shock loads but do not do well with water or wash down applications. Glass Filled Nylon Wheels combined in our low profile caster rigs are also great for impacts and shock resistant and can withstand water and washdowns much better than a phenolic wheel. The only difference is price depending on which wheel characteristics is right for your caster application.
