The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

5" x 2" Casters for heavy warehouse carts, die carts, and plant fixtures. You will see wheel diameters 5 in, plate-mount frames, and capacities 2,000 lb across the SKUs listed below. Use kingpinless or heavy plate series when shock loads keep shearing kingpin races. For dual-wheel or wide treads, check fork clearance and swivel radius in tight aisles. These heavy-duty options cover everyday heavy warehouse carts, die carts, and plant fixtures without jumping to extreme forged series.
