The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

The two phenolic casters here come from Hamilton with 6 in wheels, rated 5,000 lb each. The top plate is 6-1/2 x 7-1/2 in on all of them, with swivel and rigid versions. Examples include a Hamilton R-EPSD-63NYB 6 x 3 in Nylast rigid caster rated 5,000 lb and a Hamilton S-EPSD-63NYB 6 x 3 in Nylast swivel caster rated 5,000 lb. The usual temperature rating here is up to 250°F.
