W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

The two cast iron casters here come from Hamilton with 6 in wheels, rated 2,200 lb each. The top plate is 4-1/2 x 6-1/2 in on all of them, and you can pick swivel or rigid. Examples include a Hamilton R-FM-6MH 6 x 2 1/2 in metal rigid caster rated 2,200 lb and a Hamilton S-FM-6MH 6 x 2 1/2 in metal swivel caster rated 2,200 lb. Listed temperature ratings are mostly -40°F to 320°F.
