The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.

W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.

8" x 3" Forged Steel Casters

Diameter: 8 inTread: 3 in

Steel casters here serve warehouse carts, racks, and everyday plant fixtures. You will see wheel diameters 8 in, steel treads, and plate-mount frames across the SKUs listed below. Match bolt-hole spacing or stem diameter to the frame before you standardize a fleet. Use kingpinless or heavy plate series when shock loads keep shearing kingpin races. These medium-duty options cover everyday warehouse carts, racks, and everyday plant fixtures without jumping to extreme forged series.
