Casters on the 4 x 4-1/2 plate pattern suit chemical, food-contact, and washdown carts. Expect wheel diameters 4, 5, 6, 8 in, polyurethane, nylon, and stainless treads, and capacities 1,200 to 1,250 lb. Use kingpinless or heavy plate series when shock loads keep shearing kingpin races. Larger plates spread bolt stress on thick frames under continuous tow abuse. Confirm stem length and thread pitch on stem mounts so the shoulder seats flush in the boss.
