All measurements indicate the wheel diameter by the tread width.
The below capacity ranges indicate the working (dynamic) load that each caster will support. A safety factor should be included in your formula to determine your required load rating per caster.
W/(C-1)=R W is total weight needed to move. C is total number of casters required. R is ideal load rating, with safety factor built in. Divide the total load weight by one less caster than you will use to safely determine load rating.
Plate dimensions shown are overall mounting plate size.
When replacing existing casters, select the closest plate size and verify bolt-hole compatibility.
BHP = Bolt Hole Pattern, shown under each plate.
Light duty casters carry up to 450 lb per caster — office and institutional equipment, retail displays, AV and presentation carts, healthcare and lab rigs. The load is modest, but these are rated casters with rated bearings and published dynamic loads, not the unrated furniture casters they're often confused with.

A rated light-duty caster has tested bearings, rated materials, and a published dynamic load — it survives daily use for years. A furniture caster looks identical but skips all three to hit a low price; it flat-spots and develops swivel play within a year of real use. If the equipment rolls every day, the few-dollar difference between the two pays back many times over.
At this tier, quiet and non-marking matter as much as the load number. Polyurethane on a polyolefin core is the volume choice — non-marking, quiet, economical. Thermoplastic rubber for the quietest roll in hospital and office zones. Soft rubber for maximum cushion on finished floors. The tiles below shop by wheel and mount.
Rated bearings, rated materials, published dynamic load — light-duty casters have all three; furniture casters skip them. It matters for anything that rolls daily.
Up to 450 lb per caster in this hub. Above that, step to medium-light (to 1,500 lb).
Plate for new builds and inspected equipment, stem and grip-ring for furniture-style retrofits. All three are standard at light duty.
Our US-based caster engineers will match the right build to your load, floor, and application.
